Hey all, start encoding your favorite audio tracks to mp4(m4a/aac/aac+/eAAC/eAAC+) using the best & free* media player & encoder - "Winamp". If we encode our tracks at a bitrate of 40~64kbps with Profile as Automatic or AAC LC or HE-AAC or HE-AAC v2, we can store 700-800 tracks(each of 5mins approx.) in 1GB memory card of our mobile or any PMP(Portable Media Player) that plays/decodes mp4/m4a/aac/aac+/eAAC/eAAC+ audio formats.

All we need to do is....
1. Add audio files into Winamp's playlist.
2. Select/highlight the favorite tracks in the playlist.
3. Right-click on selected/highlighted tracks.
4. Click 'Send to:' & select 'Format Converter'.
5. Specify the destination folder - to store converted/encoded music (Click 'Browse' button to choose the destination folder).
6. Specify the naming scheme (Click 'Format Help' button for more information).
7. Select the Encoding Format as 'MPEG4 AAC Encoder v1.xx' from drop-down.
8. Select Mode as 'Contant Bitrate (CBR)' or 'Variable Bitrate (VBR)'.
9. Select Profile as 'Automatic' or 'AAC LC' or 'HE-AAC' or 'HE-AAC v2' from drop-down.
10. Select Bitrate as '40kbps'(or any bitrate between 40kbps & 64kbps or any bitrate depending on the output audio quality in mobile or PMP).
11. Click 'Ok' button.

FYI, HE-AAC v2 is the best profile!!

Warning: Never close Winamp Media Player during encoding process.

Enjoy using Winamp for playing & encoding your favorite tracks.

Try it for & by yourself!!
